Trail description
From Reeth, this loop crosses Arkle Beck to Fremington and climbs the old stony road towards Hurst past the White House, then follows the wall along the top of Fremington Edge before dropping back into Arkengarthdale. The edge is a 5 kilometre wall of crags and scree formed by a landslip after the last Ice Age, stays above 400 metres along its length and is scattered with old lead and chert workings.
