Coast to Coast: Keld to Reeth

Trail description

Wainwright's high-level Coast to Coast stage through Swaledale's old lead-mining country, past the ruin of Crackpot Hall and up Swinner Gill, then over the moor to the mine remains in Gunnerside Gill and the Old Gang smelt mill. It drops to Surrender Bridge and follows the valley down to Reeth. In bad weather a lower route follows the River Swale instead.
