Trail description

A 4 km climb of about 730 m from Zermatt up the Trift gorge to the Berggasthaus Trift at 2,337 m, an old inn below the Trift glacier. The steep path leaves the village through larch forest and opens into an alpine bowl with views of the Matterhorn's neighbours. The inn is open in summer.
