A 5.5 km climb from Arolla to the Col de Riedmatten at 2,919 m, the pass between Arolla and the Lac des Dix on the Walker's Haute Route, with about 880 m of climbing. The last section to the col is steep and rated T3 (demanding mountain hiking).
