Trail description

A short 0.8 km walk of about 100 m of climbing near the top of Mount Tsurumi, the 1,375 m lava dome above Beppu, reaching a viewpoint at about 1,350 m. The mountain has several peaks and is part of the Aso-Kuju National Park. The Beppu Ropeway runs to the top station near the summit; on foot the climb takes about two hours from the Toriimae bus stop.
