Trail description

A 5.7 km walk from the Oderteich dam along the Rehberger Graben to the Rehberger Grabenhaus. The 7.25 km ditch was dug by the miners of Sankt Andreasberg at the end of the 17th century and belongs to the Upper Harz Water Management System, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. With a gradient of only about 5 per mille, the inspection path beside it is almost level, and information boards explain the ditch and its surroundings. The Grabenhaus is a popular inn where wildlife feeding can be watched on winter evenings, and the path is part of the southern Brocken bypass of the Harzer Hexenstieg.
