Trail description

A 4 km loop around the Oderteich, a historic reservoir in the Upper Harz. Its earth dam, raised in the early 18th century to nearly 18 m, held back the Oder so that the Rehberger Graben could keep the waterwheels of the Sankt Andreasberg mines turning even in dry spells. Swimming is allowed in the southern third near the dam, while the northern part of the lake is left to nature.
