Trail description

A 3.2 km walk near Bad Grund from the car park on the Harzhochstraße up to the Iberger Albertturm, a lookout tower with an inn on the south-west spur of the Iberg, and back down to the Hübichenstein. The two linked limestone needles of the Hübichenstein are remains of ancient coral reefs. A steep stair of stone and rock climbs the smaller needle to a viewing platform with a wide view, from which you see the back of the bronze eagle on the higher needle, left from an 1897 monument to Emperor Wilhelm I.
