Trail description
From the old quarry car park opposite the Two Bridges Hotel, a public footpath runs north up the West Dart valley past Crockern Farm to Wistman's Wood. This national nature reserve is one of the highest oakwoods in Britain, lying at 380 to 410 metres among granite boulders, and its oldest twisted, moss covered oaks are thought to be around 400 to 500 years old.
