Trail description
From the small car park at Goat Hill Bridge on the B3358, a path follows the young River Barle upstream past Pinkery Farm to Pinkery Pond, a 3 acre former reservoir made in the 19th century when John Knight and his son dammed the river. A bridleway then crosses the wet moorland of The Chains to Chains Barrow, a Bronze Age bowl barrow on the 487 metre summit.
