Trail description

From the free car park at Rowarth, field paths and bridleways climb to Lantern Pike, a heather topped National Trust hill above Hayfield that is permanently open to the public. A topograph at the summit points out the surrounding hills. The hill is 373 metres high, and a Peak District National Park booklet suggests its name comes from its use as a beacon.
