Trail description

From the woodland car park north west of Buckfast, paths climb to the ramparts of Hembury Castle, then wind down through the steep oak woods of Hembury Woods to the River Dart before returning. The Iron Age hillfort covers about seven acres at some 178 metres, and inside its western side lies a motte and bailey of the 11th or 12th century.
