Trail description

Starting from the car park at Shaugh Bridge, the walk crosses the river and climbs through Dewerstone Wood above the River Plym to the granite crags of Dewerstone Rock. The rocky promontory carries the ramparts of an Iron Age hill fort at about 210 metres, and its name is said to come from Dewer, an old word for the Devil, who in legend hunts lost travellers over the rock.
