Monte San Salvatore to Morcote via Carona

Trail description

A 9 km walk, mostly downhill, from the top of Monte San Salvatore above Lugano along the ridge through Ciona and the village of Carona, then down past Alpe Vicania to Morcote on the lake shore. About 220 m of climbing and some 800 m of descent; the last part drops down long flights of steps past the church of Santa Maria del Sasso. The funicular from Paradiso goes up to the summit.
