Ohnište z Liptovského Jána

Trail description

From Liptovský Ján the path climbs over Smrekovica to Stanišovské sedlo, past the World War II partisan bunkers on Slemä, and on to Ohnište (1,536 m), a limestone summit plateau with wide views. It is 11.7 km and about 1,220 m of climbing one way, a full day there and back. Brown bears live in these mountains: make some noise in the forest and keep food packed away.
