Vasstinden Lauklines

Trail description

Vasstinden (900 m) is a marked summit hike from the old fishing station at Lauklines on Kvaløya, about 30 minutes from Tromsø. A steep start leads to the viewpoint Bærmarhaugen at 150 m, then a steady climb along the ridge and up the stony south ridge to the top, about 4 hours return with 900 m of ascent. The route to the summit is graded red, a demanding hike for experienced walkers, with views to Sommarøy, Håja and Senja.
