Trail description
A steep 1.2 km climb of about 300 m from Mount Cook Village to the Red Tarns, at about 1,050 m in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. The village lies at the end of State Highway 80, 15 km south of the summit of Aoraki / Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain. Mount Sefton, 3,151 m, is prominently visible from the village.
