Trail description

Oguninuma is a lake in the Nekoma volcano caldera in Kitashiobara, Urabandai, at about 1,090 m. This route starts at the Happodai trailhead and follows the Nekomagatake Yamabiko trail over the summit of Nekomagatake and down to the lake. In late June and early July the marsh south of the lake is covered by a huge colony of day lilies, a national natural monument, and Japanese azaleas bloom in early summer. The lake lies in Bandai-Asahi National Park.
