Trail description

A long 16.8 km day with about 1,200 m of climbing from the foot of Mount Takao up past Yakuo-in to the 599 m summit, then west over Shiroyama, Myoo Pass and Narako Pass toward Mount Jinba, 857 m. Takao, within an hour of central Tokyo, has eight trails and more than 2.5 million visitors a year. The ridge beyond follows the Tokai Nature Trail for part of the way.
