Trail description

Kagenobu, 727 m, stands on the Okutakao ridge west of Mount Takao, on the border of Hachioji and Sagamihara. This route climbs from the Kobotoke side in about an hour to the summit, where two tea houses and toilets serve hikers. It is one of the most climbed mountains in Japan, ranked seventh by number of summits logged in 2023. The name is said to come from Yokochi Kagenobu, a retainer of the Hojo clan who held the site.
