Mount Nishi-Azuma from Tengendai

Trail description

From the top of the Tengendai chairlifts above Shirabu Onsen the trail crosses alpine wetlands on boardwalks and climbs through Maries fir forest to the summit of Mount Nishi-Azuma (2,035 m), the highest peak of the Azuma mountains, with views to Bandai and Iide. The summit itself is in the trees, but the walk passes open moorland with alpine flowers in July.
