Mount Higashi-Azuma

Trail description

Higashi-Azuma, 1,975 m, is a volcano of the Azuma range and the highest point of Fukushima city. This route climbs from the Jododaira side through conifer forest to the summit, which rises above the treeline into creeping pine. The ridge on which it stands is Japan's main divide between the Pacific and the Sea of Japan. The summit has one of the best views of the Azuma range.
