Trail description
Hodosan, 497 m, rises above Nagatoro in Chichibu, with the Hodosan Shrine at its foot and its inner shrine on the summit. This walk climbs mostly on a forest track from the Nagatoro side to the top, where plum and wintersweet gardens bloom near the ropeway station. Nagatoro gorge on the Arakawa river below is a national scenic place and natural monument.
