Trail description

Mount Buko, 1,304 m, rises south of the Chichibu basin on the border of Chichibu and Yokoze and is the sacred mountain of Chichibu Shrine. This route follows the old Omote-sando pilgrim path up from the Ikimi side of Yokoze. The north face has been quarried for limestone since the Edo period, which removed the old summit, and the limestone flora on the mountain is a national natural monument. It is one of Japan's 200 famous mountains.
