Trail description
The northern part of the Kyoto Trail Higashiyama course, from Keage near Nanzenji over the Daimonji Yotsutsuji crossroads at 455 m, just below the summit of Daimonjiyama and its bonfire bed, down to the Jodoji bridge on the Shirakawa. From there it climbs the long ridge path to the Cable Hiei station at 690 m on Mount Hiei. Numbered posts mark the way, and the cable car takes you down.
