Trail description

A 5.2 km climb of about 770 m from Pont at the head of the Valsavarenche to the Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II at 2,732 m, the hut with the barrel-shaped tin roof that is the base for the normal route up the Gran Paradiso. The path climbs in many zigzags through the national park, with ibex often close by.
