Trail description

A 3.4 km climb of about 620 m from the Col du Coq, 1,434 m, to the summit of the Dent de Crolles, 2,062 m, in the Chartreuse above the Gresivaudan valley. The limestone mountain is riddled with a karst network that was the deepest known cave system in the world from 1944 to 1953. Its water resurges at the source of the Guiers Mort on the north side, and the peak lies in the Chartreuse regional nature park.
