From the Eagle Falls trailhead above Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe a short, rocky trail climbs past Eagle Falls to Eagle Lake, a granite-walled lake just inside the Desolation Wilderness. A free day-use wilderness permit is filled in at the trailhead.
