Trail description
From Pyecombe, beside the A23, a bridleway climbs north through farmland onto Wolstonbury Hill, which projects into the Weald from the main ridge of the South Downs. The National Trust summit rises to 206 metres, is partly a scheduled monument and looks out to the Clayton Windmills, Ditchling Beacon and Chanctonbury Ring, while its grazed chalk grassland holds at least 11 species of orchid.
