Trail description
From the bus stop outside the Ladies Mile pub in Patcham, the route crosses the A27 by footbridge and climbs open downland to the Chattri, returning past the rifle range and Ewe Bottom, where Iron Age ploughing left terraced lynchets. The white marble memorial, unveiled in 1921, stands on the hilltop where Hindu and Sikh soldiers who died in Brighton's wartime hospitals were cremated.
