Trail description
From the north end of Grasmere village a lane and then a steep path climb beside Greenhead Gill to the rocky top of Stone Arthur (504 m), then continue up the ridge to Great Rigg (766 m) on the Fairfield horseshoe. About 7 km out and back with 630 m of climbing.
