Scales Tarn from Scales

Trail description

From the hamlet of Scales below Blencathra a path climbs past Mousthwaite Comb and along the side of the Glenderamackin valley to Scales Tarn, a tarn in a deep hollow under the crags of Blencathra. About 5.5 km out and back with 380 m of climbing. The walk stays below Sharp Edge, a scramble that is not part of this route.
