Trail description

From the car park at the head of Cwm Bychan, beside Llyn Cwm Bychan, a path climbs through woodland and pasture onto a long series of stone slabs known as the Roman Steps. They lead into the rough heather country of the Rhinogydd to the pass of Bwlch Tyddiad, north of Rhinog Fawr. Despite the name the steps are not Roman and most likely mark a medieval packhorse route.
