Trail description

From the car park at Porthgain harbour, dominated by brick hoppers that once stored crushed stone for shipping, the coast path runs along the clifftop above Traeth Llyfn beach to Abereiddi. There the Blue Lagoon fills an old slate quarry flooded by the sea, and quarrying here finally stopped in the 1930s. The loop returns to Porthgain inland over fields and tracks.
