Great Gable from Honister Pass

Trail description

From the car park at the top of Honister Pass (356 m) the path climbs onto the fells above Honister Slate Mine and follows the ridge south to Green Gable (801 m), drops to Windy Gap and climbs the steep, rocky final slope to Great Gable (899 m). The return follows Moses Trod, an old path round the western side of the fells. About 9 km with 690 m of climbing; the slope above Windy Gap is loose and rocky.
