Trail description
This circuit starts at the Fritham car park and follows the lane to Eyeworth Pond, then heads north through the ancient woodland of Eyeworth Wood before returning over open heath to Fritham. The pond was created in 1871 by damming Latchmore Brook to supply the Schultze Gunpowder Factory at Eyeworth Lodge, which made smokeless powder until it closed in 1921.
