Trail description
From the hamlet of Brook, this route follows a bridleway through Pipers Copse to Upper Canterton and the Rufus Stone, said to mark where King William II was killed by an arrow while hunting in 1100. Quiet lanes lead on to Minstead, where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is buried at All Saints Church, before the walk returns through Canterton to Brook.
