Trail description
The circuit starts at Pwllgwaelod beach and climbs the coast path to Pen y Fan, the 142 m high point of Dinas Island, a promontory partly cut off from the mainland by an Ice Age meltwater channel. It passes Needle Rock, where razorbills and guillemots nest in early summer, drops to Cwm-yr-Eglwys and its church ruined in the great storm of 1859, and returns along the valley.
