Trail description
From Fairholmes car park the walk passes the foot of the Derwent Dam, climbs beside it and follows the quiet western shore of Derwent Reservoir to Howden Dam, the uppermost of the three Upper Derwent Valley reservoirs. Howden Dam was completed in July 1912, and the boundary between Derbyshire and South Yorkshire runs through the middle of its reservoir along the old course of the River Derwent.
