Trail description
From Cow Bridge car park a surfaced path follows the west shore of Brothers Water through the oaks of Low Wood to Hartsop Hall, then crosses level ground to Sykeside and the Brotherswater Inn. Hartsop Hall is a 16th century Grade I listed building owned by the National Trust. The lake, once Broad Water, is said to have been renamed after two brothers drowned there.
