Trail description
From Patterdale the path climbs to Boredale Hause, then contours beneath Angletarn Pikes to Angle Tarn, part of the Coast to Coast route. The tarn lies at 479 m and is shaped like a fish hook, with two rocky islets and a small peninsula. Alfred Wainwright described it as among the best of the Lakeland tarns.
