Trail description

This riverside walk leaves Beaulieu village and follows the footpath along the west bank of the Beaulieu River to the historic hamlet of Buckler's Hard. Its two rows of Georgian cottages run down to the water, and in the 18th century the hamlet was a shipyard where vessels for Nelson's navy were built. Buckler's Hard gives the riverside path as 2.25 miles, about an hour each way.
