Trail description

A 21.8 km Via Alpina stage from Meiringen up the Reichenbach valley past Rosenlaui and Schwarzwaldalp to the Grosse Scheidegg pass at about 1,960 m, then down below the Wetterhorn to Grindelwald, with about 1,390 m of climbing. Part of the route follows the pass road, which is closed to private cars. It is a long day; buses run over the pass if you want to shorten it.
