Trail description

An 8.1 km walk with about 420 m of climbing from Eggeschwand above Kandersteg through the gorge into the wild Gasterntal and along the Kander to the hamlet of Selden. The valley is one of the most untouched in the Bernese Oberland, with waterfalls pouring off the cliffs. The narrow road is open to a small minibus and cars on a timed one-way system.
