Trail description

A 5.8 km walk of about 140 m of climbing from the south end of Maridalsvannet along the lake to the ruins of the medieval Margaretakirken at its northern end. Maridalsvannet is Oslo's largest lake and its main drinking water supply, and the city owns its shores and the woods around it. The valley was once called Margretardalr after the church, dedicated to Margaret of Antioch.
