Trail description
A 6.2 km section of the old Nakasendo highway from the post town of Narai over the Torii Pass toward Yabuhara in the Kiso valley, climbing about 300 m to around 1,200 m. The pass, at 1,197 m, is the highest point of the Nakasendo in Kiso, with old torii gates and a small shrine at the top. The trail follows stone-paved and forest paths through old cedar and cypress forest and takes about three hours.
