Trail description
The upper 2.3 km of the climb of Mount Kiso-Komagatake, the 2,956 m high point of the Central Alps, rising about 250 m from around 2,710 m to the summit. The usual start is Senjojiki, the glacial cirque reached by the Komagatake Ropeway, whose top station at about 2,612 m is the highest in Japan. A round trip from the ropeway takes about four hours.
