Trail description

Watamukiyama, 1,110 m, rises in Hino, Shiga, in the Suzuka Quasi-National Park, and has been a mountain of worship since about the 7th century. This route climbs from the southwest on forest tracks and paths to the summit, which holds the Seinen no To tower and the inner shrine of Watamuki Shrine. On clear days the view reaches the Northern Alps, Ontake and Ena to the east and Lake Biwa with Hiei and Hira to the west. Beech and oak forest covers the slopes.
