Mount Ponpon from Yoshiminedera

Trail description

Ponponyama, 678.7 m, on the border of Kyoto's Nishikyo ward and Takatsuki, is the highest point of both and a busy hill all year, above all on New Year's morning. This route climbs from the Yoshiminedera temple on the Kyoto side to the summit beside the Tokai Nature Trail, where there are benches and tables. Trees were cut on part of the top, opening views over southern Kyoto, Osaka and Takatsuki.
