Mount Tenno Oyamazaki

Trail description

Tennozan, 270 m, rises above Oyamazaki at the southern end of the Nishiyama hills, where the old border of Settsu and Yamashiro crosses. This short climb goes from the Oyamazaki side to the summit. Below it, the Katsura, Uji and Kizu rivers join to form the Yodo, and almost all the transport routes between Kyoto and Osaka squeeze through the gap. It was the site of the Battle of Yamazaki in 1582.
